Amanda B. Anderson

AMANDA B. ANDERSON, age 98 of Waseca died on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at Lake Shore Inn in Waseca.

Born on August 12, 1915 in Waseca County, Minnesota she was the daughter of Charles and Mary (Oldag) Schultz.  She attended school in rural Waseca County.  Amanda married Alvin Anderson on April 24, 1935.  Over the years, she was employed at several places in the Waseca area including the E.F. Johnson Co., Sprengler’s Drive-In, and Herter’s.  She enjoyed playing cards and games.  Amanda was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca, VFW Auxiliary Post 1642 and the Waseca Senior Citizens.

She is survived by two sons, Harlow Anderson and John Anderson of Waseca; two daughters, Mary Fiebiger of Waseca and Connie (Stephen) Jiroch of Reno, NV; son-in-law, Bill Briley of Eagle Lake; 12 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.  She is also survived by one sister-in-law, Betty Schultz; several nieces and nephews; and her dear friend, Lorna Sexton of Waseca.   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Joan Briley; son, Richard in infancy; son-in-law, Bill Fiebiger; daughter-in-law, Frannie Anderson; 4 sisters; and 3 brothers.

Visitation will be held at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca on Sunday, June 22, 2014 from 4-7 PM and continue on Monday, one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 23, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca with Rev. John Omans officiating.  Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
