Susan Ayen

Susan M. J. Ayen, age 67 of Meriden died Monday, January 22, 2018 at the Koda Living Community in Owatonna after losing her battle with cancer.  A memorial service will be Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca.  A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service.

Susan Mary Jane Ayen was born November 22, 1950 to Loren and Violet Ewert of Janesville. She grew up on the farm and attended Janesville Public Schools graduating in 1968. She then attended Mankato Vocational/Technical School in the data entry program. Upon completion she began work at the Jostens Co. in Owatonna. In November of 1971 Susan married Larry Meyers and they had two children, Holly and Cory. They later divorced. In December of 1981 Susan married Thomas Ayen, they had two children, Patrick and Aaron. They later divorced.                                                                                

Susan enjoyed numerous activities, reading, gardening, canning and going on fishing/camping trips in their camper. She especially enjoyed her dogs and cats.

Susan is survived by her children, Holly (Jim) Goskeson , Cory Meyers (Erin Johnson), Patrick Ayen (Chelsey Strom),and  Aaron Ayen (Heather Freid); grandchildren, Lacey, Logan, Analise, Antonia, Calin, Meable, and Paige. She is also survived by siblings, Loren (Carol) Ewert of Mankato, Cheryl (Jay) Nichols of Ballwin, MO and Linda (Bill) Dethloff of Benson; by aunts, Marion Hardy, Ruth Walthers, and Arlene Tschirhart and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
