Eleanor Mae Billiar

ELEANOR MAE BILLIAR, age 91 of Waseca, died on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Colony Court in Waseca.

Born in Hutchinson, Minnesota on November 15, 1921, Eleanor was the daughter of Theodore and Hattie (Reuchert) Geier.  Eleanor was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Olivia.  She also attended school in Olivia as a young woman.  On March 25, 1940, she married Lloyd Billiar in Olivia.  They lived in Owatonna from 1958 until moving to Waseca in 1968.  Eleanor enjoyed quilting, needle work and church activities.  She also loved spending time with her family.   She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Eleanor is survived by six children, Donald Billiar of Howell, MI, Gail (Edward) Kubat of Waseca, Judy (Paul) Daffinrud of Buckeye, AZ, Jacqueline (Bruce) Bakken of Hartland, James (Shelley) Billiar of St. Michael, and Jerry (Christine) Billiar of Mankato; fifteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.  She was preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband; one brother, Leroy; and one daughter-in-law, Kay Billiar.

Visitation will be held from 2-5 PM on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at Dennis Funeral and Cremation Services in Waseca, and will continue for one hour before the service at the church on Monday.
