Eugene E. Chadderdon

EUGENE E. CHADDERDON, age 65 of Waseca died on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

Born on August 31, 1949 in Waseca, Minnesota, he was the son of Sylvester and Nadine (Krause) Chadderdon.   He graduated from Waseca High School in 1967 and the University of Minnesota-Crookston with a degree in accounting.   Following his education, Eugene served with the National Guard.   He was in business with his father and grandfather at Chadderdon Realty, Tax Service & Insurance.   In 1984, he began working at Brown Printing Co. until retiring in 2009.   He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, watching Minnesota sports teams, spending time at his cabin in northern Minnesota, playing Santa Claus for grandchildren and nieces and nephews, and spending time with this great granddaughter.  He also enjoyed all his John Deere equipment.   He was a member of the Waseca Sportsman Club and the NRA.

He is survived by his wife, Marla of Waseca; one son, Chad (Tracy) Chadderdon of Owatonna; two granddaughters, Bailey (fiancé, Nick Gardner) and Brittney; and one great granddaughter, Brooklynn Gardner.   He is also survived by his mother, Nadine Chadderdon of Waseca; one brother, Terry (Sandy) Chadderdon of Waseca; niece, Molly (Josh) Cosens of Waseca and their children, Isla and Maverick; and nephew, Travis Chadderdon of North Carolina.  He was preceded in death by his father.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 4:00 PM at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca with Rev. Roger Haug officiating.   Visitation will be held on Saturday from 1:30 PM until the time of services at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
