Mary Ann Conway

MARY ANN CONWAY, age 81 of Waseca, died on Friday, November 13, 2015 at the Lakeshore Inn in Waseca.

Born in Waseca on January 16, 1934, Mary was the daughter of James and Gertrude (Guyer) Cleary.  She graduated from Sacred Heart High School in 1952.  On February 20, 1954 she was married to Damon Conway at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca.  She had worked at Waseca Mutual Insurance, was a bookkeeper at Associated Lumber in Waseca, and for McCleery’s Bar – later purchased and renamed by her husband as Damon’s Lounge.  She also co-owned the Happy Hands Shoppe in Waseca.  She enjoyed crafts – especially hardanger, playing cards and games, reading, and music.  She was a member of several card clubs over the years, and was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, participating in countless church activities.

Mary is survived by six children, Tim (Lisa) Conway of Grand Rapids, Patti (Tom) Burke of Waseca, Kathy Conway of Owatonna, Chris Conway of Waseca, Brian (Julie) Conway of Waseca, and Jennifer Conway of Waseca; thirteen grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM on Friday, November 20, 2015 at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca, with a parish prayer service to begin at 7:00 PM.  Visitation will continue for one hour before the funeral service at the church on Saturday.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca, with Rev. Gregory Leif officiating.  Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waseca.
