Ann C. Cooper

ANN C. COOPER, age 94 of Waseca died on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the Colony Court Memory Care & Care Suites.

Born on July 14, 1919 in Waseca, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Joseph and Theresa (Harguth) Larson.  She attended rural Waseca County School District #11 in Iosco Township before graduating from Waseca Central High School in 1936.  She was married to Robert W. Cooper on February 25, 1941 at Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca and they later divorced.  Ann had worked as a waitress at Carl’s Hamburger Shop in Waseca before working at Boeing Aircraft in Seattle, WA.  She later worked as an administrative assistant in Tucson, AZ, for Financial Analyst Co. in Los Angeles, CA, and as a secretary in North Hollywood, CA.   She returned to Waseca in 1975 and was the secretary and bookkeeper for Flom Plumbing and Heating and also worked for Itron through the senior citizens before retiring in 1980.  Ann enjoyed sewing, dancing, watching the MN Twins, crossword puzzles and family reunions and get togethers.   She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the Waseca Senior Citizens.

She is survived by one granddaughter, Lisa (Joe) Williamson of Chico, California and one great granddaughter, Riley Williamson.  She is also survived by nieces, Carol Anderson of Mankato, Linda Romm of Greensboro, NC, Janis Sotebeer of Green Bay, WI, Loretta (Joe) McCarthy of Waseca, and Judy (George) Lord of Minneapolis, nephews, David Winge of Montgomery, Dennis Sotebeer of Green Bay, WI, Ronald (Joan) Larson of Cottage Grove, Gerald (Jan) Larson of Dunedin, FL, Mark Harris of Maplewood, Craig (Wendy) Harris of Thousand Oaks, CA, and Eugene (Rosella) Patten of Bena.   She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Gary Cooper; two brothers, John Larson and George Larson; four sisters, Florence Sotebeer, Helen Winge, Mildred Harris, and Berniece Patten; and one niece, Sharon Patten.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 30, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca with Rev. Paige Whitney officiating.  Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.  Visitation will be held on Monday, one hour before services at the church.  Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services of Waseca is handling arrangements.

Memorials are preferred to Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca.
