Jeffrey Earl Coy

JEFFREY EARL COY, age 57 of Pemberton died on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 in Huatulco, Mexico.

Born on November 14, 1959 in Wells, Minnesota, he was the son of Clifford & Sue (Weaver) Coy.   He graduated from Waldorf-Pemberton High School and on March 5, 1983 married his best friend Doreen Dahnert in Waseca.  Jeff started his career as an electrician with Stelter Electric. He was currently a loyal employee for Hunt Electric as the onsite electrician at Liberty Paper in Becker.  Jeff loved camping and motorcycling with family and great friends, Jason and Lora Kelley.  Jeff also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.  He was a true role model for all dads and grandpas with a smile that lit up the room. 

He is survived by his wife, Doreen of Pemberton; children, Sarah (Tom) Forbrook of Hackensack, Kristina (Bubba) Kleist of Eagle Lake, Joshua (Kirsten) Coy of Pemberton, and Nicholas Coy and Lexy Schneier of Janesville.   He’s also survived by eight grandchildren and their favorite memories of grandpa:  Wyatt – hunting and trips with grandpa, Collin – squirrel hunting, Corah – camping and ice cream, Logan – riding 4-wheeler, fishing and eating grandpa’s homemade grape jelly, Levi – camping and fishing, Paisley – finding worms and swimming with grandpa, Grady – snuggles by the campfire and big hugs, and Layla who’s big eyes melted Grandpa’s heart.  Jeff is also survived by siblings, Michael (Cynthia) Coy of New Richland, Pamela Coy of Cohasset, Kim Born of St. Clair, and Daniel Coy (friend Peggy Ferguson) of Grand Forks, ND; mother-in-law, Vada Dahnert of Waseca; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Kathleen Frantum; and father-in-law, Rodger Dahnert.

Visitation will be held at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 4-7 PM and continue on Friday, one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Faith United Methodist Church in Waseca.  Burial will be at Medo Central Cemetery.
