Arlene Deutsch

Arlene Margaret Schwichtenberg Deutsch left this Earth on January 6, 2016. Arlene died peacefully in New Orleans, LA, while holding her daughter’s hand.

Born in Waterville in 1922, she was almost 94 years old when she joined Clarence Deutsch, her husband, in death. They had been married for over 53 years.

Her parents William and Martha Schwichtenberg; her brothers Harold, Ervin and Paul Schwichtenberg; and her sisters Inez Pope and Edna Slechta-Hebel also preceded her in death.  

Arlene is survived by her daughter Carol Cave of New Orleans; her grandson Jeff Cave (Donna) and great-grandchildren Jared and Hannah of Doylestown, PA; and her granddaughter Shelby Hunter (Steve) and great-grandchildren Alexandra, Maggie and Zack of New Orleans.

Visitation will begin at 9:30am, followed by a 10:30 Celebration Mass, on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Waterville, where Clarence and Arlene were married. Interment will be at the Calvary Cemetery in Waterville, followed by lunch at Holy Trinity.  

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated.
