Dwain D. Dinse

DWAIN DENNIS DINSE, age 57 of Owatonna died on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester from complications of heart surgery.

Born on September 5, 1960 in Waseca, Minnesota, he was the son of Dennis and Darlene (Hagen) Dinse. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Meriden where he was baptized and confirmed.  He graduated from Owatonna High School in 1979 and received his degree in Farm Business Management from South Central College.   Dwain married Jayne Hamilton on June 9, 1984 in Tracy, Minnesota.  Dwain spent over 38 years working in the dairy industry.  He was employed with Alta Genetics as an Elite Account Manager working with large dairies in Iowa, Minnesota and South Dakota.  He loved the relationships and friendships he established with them and the opportunity to share his knowledge to improve genetics of the breed. His clients were more than customers, they were his friends.  Dwain was recognized with many prestigious sales awards throughout his career.   Dwain and Jayne owned and operated NuDimension Dairy, an all registered high genomic Holstein herd.  For many years, they have been recognized by the county and state DHI Associations and Bongards’ Creamery for their low somatic cell/high milk quality.   They hosted fifteen international agricultural trainees from Central and South America, who became a part of their family.

He is survived by his wife, Jayne of Owatonna; daughter, Juliana (Paul) Sammon of Owatonna; and granddaughters, Georgia Ann and Pauliana Rae.  He is also survived by his father, Dennis Dinse of Owatonna; siblings, Dawn (Ted) Stadler of Medford, DeAnn (Jim) Larson of Waseca, and Darel (Kim) Dinse of Ellendale; brother-in-law, Steve Wigham of Austin; nieces, Dominique, Chelsey and Taylor; and nephews, Tyler, Garrett, Dylan, Brandon, and Nathan.   He was preceded in death by his mother, Darlene; sister, Denise Wigham; and his grandparents.  Dwain will be deeply missed by his family, many friends, clients, and colleagues.  Blessed be his memory.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 from 3-8 PM at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Meriden and continue on Thursday, one hour prior to services at the church.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Meriden.  Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Meriden.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
