Roger Ebert

ROGER W. EBERT, age 80 of Kilkenny died on Monday, September 17, 2018 at his home.

Born on March 13, 1938 at home in Cordova Township, Le Sueur County, Minnesota, he was the son of Rudolph and Grace (Peach) Ebert.  He attended school in rural Le Sueur County before graduating from Waterville High School.  Roger married Inez Krause on June 20, 1959.  He lived at the same residence from a very young age and farmed his entire life.  He also had a tiling business.  Roger had an open door to missionaries, relatives, and friends.  He was involved with Awana and youth ministries earlier in life.  Roger generously gave to many.  He enjoyed helping others in need and loved helping his grandchildren.   He enjoyed farming, fishing, missions, being on Sabre Lake, watersports, hunting, and designing and building things.  He was a member of the Cannonville Community Church.

He is survived by his wife, Inez; three children, Nathan (Mary) Ebert of Kilkenny, Valerie Danielson of Kilkenny, and Naomi (Chuck) Volkmer of Waseca; 12 grandchildren, Heidi (Frank) Williams, Heather (Brad) Gurtin, John Danielson, Shayne (Amberle) Danielson, Erik Danielson, Kati Danielson, Brittany Volkmer, Emily Volkmer, Richard Volkmer, Tessa Volkmer, Erin Volkmer, Timothea Volkmer; and two great grandchildren, Kenzie Williams and Rylynn Gurtin.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Janet Hansen.

Visitation will be held at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waterville on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 5-8 PM.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waterville.  Burial will follow at Lake Gorman Cemetery in Cordova.
