Richard "Rick" Evanson
RICHARD “RICK” EVANSON, 47, died on Friday, September 4, 2015 at his residence.
Visitation will be held at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waterville on Sunday, October 4, 2015 from 2-5 PM.
A time of sharing will be at 7:00 PM on Monday, October 5, 2015 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Monday, October 5, 2015 at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls.
Richard was born June 17, 1968 in Faribault to Gary Evanson and Lois Stangler. He grew up in southern Minnesota and later in central Minnesota. Rick served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked as a warehouse distributer for the St. Cloud VA Medical Center for the past two years and for Genmar Industries in Little Falls for many years. Rick loved working with veterans. He enjoyed mountain biking and fishing, and was a car enthusiast.
Survivors include his son and daughter, Leif Evanson of St. Cloud and Ashton Johnson of Alexandria; parents, Gary Evanson of Hillman and Lois Stangler of Morristown; sister and brother, Jennifer Evanson of Fairbanks, AK and Jeffrey Evanson of Duluth; and step-sisters, Sarah Vinge, Sheila Kadrlik and Michelle Keller. Rick was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
