Mary Fette

MARY PATRICIA FETTE, age 62 of Waseca died on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at her home.

Born on April 1, 1956 in Waseca, Minnesota, she was the daughter of William and Phyllis (Lynch) Poehler. She graduated from Waseca High School in 1974 where she was the drum major in the band. Mary went on to attend St. Theresa’s College before graduating from Austin Community College with a degree in nursing. She married Jeff Fette on September 16, 1978 in Waseca. Mary worked as a nurse at Lake Shore Inn and later the Waseca Hospital for many years. She also worked for Neste’s Ambulance and served as the Waseca County Coroner. She retired from the Mankato Clinic where she worked in the anti-coagulation department. Mary enjoyed sewing, traveling and collecting crystal. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Jeff of Waseca and many cousins, aunts, and uncles. She is also survived by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Leo and Shirley Fette of Waseca; brother-in-law, Bill Fette of Waseca; sister-in-law, Cathy (Joe) Bruggenthies of Kasson; and two nephews, Ryan (Valerie) Kimball of Mantorville and Colin (Krista) Kimball of Dodge Center and their children, Aliana and Jace. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 4-7 PM and continue on Saturday, one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 11:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca. Burial will be at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
