Perry E. Foster

PERRY EDWARD FOSTER, age 79 of Waterville died on Monday, May 18, 2015 at Hillcrest Health Care Center in Mankato.

Born on April 20, 1936 in Mankato, Minnesota, he was the son of Perry and Alma (Menten) Foster.  He graduated from Mankato High School.   Perry married Marlys Loewen on May 10, 1963.   Following Marlys’ death, he married Nancy Luebeck on November 22, 1977.  Perry was employed with Backman’s Produce in Waterville and later drove truck for many years for Murphy Freight in Mankato and later Consolidated Freight until his retirement.   He enjoyed fishing, restoring antique tractors, fixing cars and trucks, gardening, collecting John Deere tractors and memorabilia, and the outdoors.

He is survived by his children, Sherri Foster (Allen Roberts) of Morris, Janet Braam of Amboy, Patricia (Mike) Pettengill of Bloomington, NE, Perry (Cathy) Foster III of Fairmont, Peter Foster of St. Cloud, Adam (Rosie) Foster of Madison Lake, and Trey Foster of Missouri; eight grandchildren, Chris, Cory, and John Braam, Allen Jr., Dakota, Sierra and Damien Roberts, and Madison Foster; and one great grandchild, Olivia Braam.  He is also survived by one sister, Fern Renken of Waterville; two brothers-in-law, Jerry Schafer and Dean Cowdin both of Madison Lake; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, both wives, two children, Kim and Ken Foster, three sisters, Janice Cowdin, Sandra Schafer, and Delaine Foster in infancy, and brother-in-law, Lowell Renken.
