Donald E. Gregor

DONALD EDWARD GREGOR, age 90 of Waterville, died at his home on Thursday, February 18, 2016.

Born on January 13, 1926 on his family’s farm in Morristown Township, Rice County, Don was the son of Frank and Amelia (Kuntz) Gregor.  He attended Rice County country school.  On May 12, 1948 Don married Delores Harriman at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Waterville.  Together, they then took over his family’s farm, where they have lived and worked ever since.  Don was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church where he was active with Knights of Columbus.  He also enjoyed traveling to see family in Wisconsin and Washington – and everything about his country life including gardening, cats, birds, and deer that ate at his feeder.

Donald is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years, Delores Gregor of Waterville; four children, Ralph Gregor of Waterville, Linda Fetchenhier of Elysian, Anita Hillstead of Amery, WI, and Carol Gregor of Seattle, WA; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Gregor of Waseca; four grandchildren, Angela Groehler, Jason Fetchenhier, Ariana Hillstead, and Sharisa Ruh; four great-grandchildren, Cree Groehler, Eli Peterson, Evelyn “Evy” Ruh, and Celia “Cece” Ruh; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and one sister.

Visitation will be held from 2-6PM on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waterville, and will continue for one hour before the service at the church on Monday.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM on Monday, February 22, 2016 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Waterville, with Rev. Michael Ince officiating.  Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waterville.
