Vicki Jo Gross

VICKI JO GROSS, age 75 of Elysian, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at the Benedictine Living Community in St. Peter after a short battle with lung cancer. 

Born in Owatonna on June 18, 1944, Vicki was the daughter of Robert & Joyce Cassem.  She graduated from Owatonna High School and went on to pursue a degree in nursing and graduated with her LPN license.  She worked as an office manager for a medical practice in St. Paul.  Vicki married Thomas Gross on June 3, 1967 in St. Paul before they made their home in Waterville where they raised their two boys, Chris and Dan.  Vicki enjoyed following her boys’ high school sports, spending time at their home on Lake Francis, gardening, reading, traveling, and visiting with friends and family. 

Vicki is survived by her husband, Tom of Elysian; two sons, Chris (Corri) Gross of Foley and Dan (Heidi) Gross of Olivia; one brother, Grant (Sue) Cassem of Aiken, SC; and five grandchildren, McKenna, Gavin, Gabe, Jack & Sadie.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Joyce, and her brother Gary.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waterville, with Rev. Matt Hausken officiating.  Visitation will be held from 12:00PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
