Vicki Gullickson

VICKI LYNN GULLICKSON, age 71, of Austin, TX passed peacefully in her sleep and joined her husband, Olaf (Bud) in heaven on Monday, September 16,2019

Vicki was born in Waseca on October 24, 1947 to Nick and Jeanne Harding. She learned to dance at a young age from her mother and even when (partial) deafness, Meniere’s Disease, and countless inner-ear issues challenged her, she still found a way to “move to the beat”.  But her true calling was as a nurse and in 1967 she graduated from Nursing School, leaving only when her ear disorders affected her ability to care for her patients. Vicki was also known for her deep faith and she was a very joyful Christian.

From living on a sailboat in California to a farm in Arkansas to RV’ing with her husband across the country She lived life to the fullest. She also absolutely loved a well-made margarita and she had a wicked sense of humor.

Vicki is survived by her daughter Denise Taylor (Gullickson); step-son Bryan Gullickson; grandchildren, Amanda  (Forstad) Gilles, Jason Forstad, and Ryan Taylor; as well as her sisters and brothers, Linda/David Hruska of Waterville, Mn. Carol/Chuck Jensen of Bemidji, Mn. Charlie/Karol Harding, Jena Manthe of Webster, Wi. Melissa/Paul Kelly of Texas Julie/Steve Bromenshenkel of White Bear Lake, Mn. and Brian Harding/Don Peterson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Olaf “Bud” Gullickson; and step-children Ron Gullickson, Rick Gullickson and Lori (Gullickson) Forstad).

Vicki is remembered with great love by everyone in her life – family, friends will miss her greatly, but we all know she is up in Heaven watching over us while drinking her margarita and dancing with her beloved Bud.
