Deborah Ann Gustafson

DEBORAH ANN GUSTAFSON, age 60 of Waseca, died on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.

Born in Minneapolis on December 12, 1956, Debbie was the daughter of Charlie Johnson and Inga Westerberg.  It was her mother and step-father, Marvin Carter, that she considered her parents.  Growing up she attended school in Lakeville.  Following her graduation Debbie began working as a nursing assistant in the Twin Cities.  During that time she met her future husband, Randy Gustafson.  Following their wedding on January 28, 1982 they made their home in Randy’s hometown of International Falls where they began their family.  Ten years later their family moved to the Waseca area and has been here ever since.  Debbie loved to follow the Minnesota Vikings, collect porcelain dolls and Betty Boop memorabilia, and go to garage sales.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Randy of Waseca; three children, Christopher (Sarah) Gustafson of Clarksville, TN, William (Crystal) Gustafson of Waseca, and Jessica Gustafson of Waseca; four grandchildren; and one brother, Mark Carter of Shakopee.  She was preceded in death by both of her biological parents and her step-father.
