Florence W. Hamele

FLORENCE WHILIMINA HAMELE, age 98 of Waterville, passed away on March 30, 2018 at the Minnesota Valley Health Care Center in Le Sueur.

Born on March 15, 1920 in Cordova, Florence was the daughter of Herman and Tena (Delaska) Gehrke.  She attended school in Cordova before getting married to George Hamele in Kilkenny.  Their life together was blessed by three children.  Florence loved walking, playing cards, knitting, crocheting, quilting, cooking, baking, and taking bus trips.  She was always a very busy lady.  She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church of Waterville and enjoyed her involvement with the Women’s Guild.  She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Great-Great-Grandmother, and she will be greatly missed. 

Florence is survived by two sons, Francis (Verna) Hamele of Fullerton, CA, and Gerald (Colette) Hamele of Papillion, NE; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one brother-in-law Francis Hamele of Faribault.  She was preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband; one daughter Sandra Henaman; one son-in-law Phillip Henaman; one grandson, Scott Henaman; five brothers; and three sisters.
         
Visitation will be held from 4-6PM on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waterville, and will continue for one hour before the service at the church on Friday. 

Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Waterville, with Rev. Michael Ince officiating.  Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waterville.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Calvary Cemetery in Waterville.
