Richard Allen Hansen

RICHARD ALLEN HANSEN, age 74 of Waseca, passed away on December 24, 2018 surrounded by family.

Richard was born on July 25, 1944 in Austin, MN.  He married Donna Lutgens on March 6, 1965.  They later divorced.  Richard worked for Brown Printing for over 40 years.  He enjoyed volunteering at the Neighborhood Service Center, metal scrapping, can collecting, gardening, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving children and grandchildren, Michael & Karyn Hansen (Abigail & Jonathan), Brian Hansen, Steve & Barb Hansen (Marcus & Aubree), Brenda Hansen (Austin), Cheryl & Greg Ashland (Zachary), Brad Hansen, and Tim & Beth Hansen (Kali, Kendra, Logan, Dylan, Emily); and sisters, Helen (Wally) Malchow, Lorraine (Bob) Freitag, Fern (Marvin) Veitze, Lavonne (Keith) Kasten, and Lucille (George) Teats.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Warner & Selma; and sisters Mary Blanchard, Virginia Miller, Alice Augustin and Hazel Schneider.

In an effort to respect our father's wishes he will be cremated and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Waseca Food Shelf or Waseca Neighborhood Service Center in remembrance of our dad.  The family is thankful for the condolences and prayers.
