Alvin J. Herman

ALVIN JOHN HERMAN, age 80 of Waterville died on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Traditions of Waterville.

Born on September 15, 1934 in Motley, Minnesota, he was the son of Gust and Elsie (Junker) Herman.  He was a member of Electrical Union 110.  He and his wife Margaret (Sadusky) were residents of the Waterville area for the past 15 years.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret of Waterville; two daughters, Michele (John) Hollermann of Elysian and Paula (John) Kolodziej of Newport; and six grandchildren, Seth and Rose Hollermann and Brooke, Evan, Kyle and Kasey Kolodziej.  He is also survived by one brother, Edward (Lorraine) Herman of Fridley; one sister, Ethel (Gordon) Herman of New Hope; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons – one in infancy and James Herman, two grandsons – Ethan and Shane Hollermann, and one sister – Edna.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, March 9, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waterville.  Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Elysian. Visitation will be held on Monday, one hour before services at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to donor’s choice.
