Dona Mae Hinkie

Dona Mae Hinkie, 89, a life-long resident of Waseca passed in peace, Tuesday evening, January 15, 2018 in Mankato.

Dona graduated from Waseca High School, and worked for E. F. Johnson company for her entire career.  She enjoyed staying connected with her local friends and was active at St. John Lutheran Church.  She especially enjoyed making quilts at the church.   After retirement, she lived at Maple Terrace on Loon Lake until moving to Pathstone Crossing, Mankato. 

Dona’s parents, Valeria and Oscar Hinkie and infant brother Duane are buried at Woodville Cemetery where Dona will be interred.  Her brother Russell passed in 2011 and is buried in Nisswa.  Dona is survived by her sister-in-law Berniece; her two nephews Richard (Arizona) and Mark (Washington) and their wives; her grandniece Gretchen (Richfield), two grandnephews Erik, (Edina) and Todd (Germany) & their wives and children, two great grandnieces and two great grandnephews.

A Celebration of Life Gathering for Dona Hinke will be held from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Waseca. Please come and reminisce with her family and friends!
