Lillian M. Hoffman

LILLIAN MAE HOFFMAN, age 81 of Waseca died on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the Owatonna Care Center.

Born on June 14, 1931 in Austin, Minnesota she was the daughter of Herman and Anna (Kuhl) Kreuger.  She grew up in Austin until the age of 13 when she and her family moved to Janesville and she attended Janesville Parochial School.  Lillian married Leverne Hoffman on November 14, 1948.  To this union five children were born. They later divorced.  

Lillian worked for various employers in Waseca.  Her employment began with Johnson’s Variety Store and continued with Waseca Canning Co., E.F. Johnson’s, Birds Eye, Brown Printing, Waseca Memorial Hospital, Waseca High School and ended with the Waseca Neighborhood Service Center.

She is survived by five children, Cheryl (Mike) Schuur, Harold (Patricia) Hoffman, and Anna Marie Hoffman (and special friend, Dean Meyer) all of Waseca, Robert (Doreen) Hoffman of Otisco, and David (Debra) Hoffman of Belle Plaine; 12 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and one on the way; and 3 great great grandchildren.  She is also survived by one brother, James Kreuger of Big Lake; one sister, Dorothy (Edgar) Felske of Waseca; one brother-in-law, Harvey Jobe of Waseca; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, two brothers, and one great great grandson.

Visitation will be held at Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 from 4-7 PM and continue on Thursday, one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at 1:00 PM at St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca.  Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery.
