Violet H. Jacobson

VIOLET JACOBSON, age 104 of Waseca, died on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Colony Court in Waseca.    

Violet was born on October 18, 1913 to Ferdinand and Christine (Olson) Jacobson in Ellendale, Minnesota.  After graduating from Ellendale High School, she went on to become an elementary teacher and spent most of her teaching career as a fifth grade instructor in the Waseca Public School system.

After Violet’s retirement, she prided herself in recognizing and remembering her former student’s names when she would see them at different events in Waseca. Violet was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church.

Violet was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister. She is survived by her niece, who resides in California.

Violet resided at Colony Court for many years and was very grateful to the caring staff who were so kind to her.

As per Violet’s wishes, a funeral will not be held.  A private burial will take place at Geneva Cemetery in the spring.

Memorials are preferred to Colony Court Activities Fund, or donors choice and may be sent to the Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services, 109 3rd St. N.E., Waseca, MN 56093
