Shirley Johnson

SHIRLEY V. JOHNSON, age 92 of Waseca died on Monday, May 4, 2015 at Colony Court in Waseca.

Born on November 23, 1922 in Dakota, Minnesota, she was the daughter of George and Julia (Skar) Gilbert.  She graduated from Canton High School and married Lowell G. Johnson on February 17, 1943 in Preston.  They lived and farmed in Canton Township, Fillmore County and she worked as a homemaker.  Shirley gardened, crocheted, sewed, baked and cooked.

She is survived by her children, Janet Hermanson of New Port Richie, FL, Jack Johnson of Las Vegas, NV, Gerald (Linda) Johnson of Lime Springs, IA and L. Steven (Jennifer) Johnson of Waseca; foster child, Carol Ann Morley of Faribault; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, and two sisters.

Visitation will be held at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca on Thursday, May 7, 2015 from 5-7 PM and continue on Friday, one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca.  Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery.
