Jeffrey G. Kingston

JEFFREY GERALD KINGSTON, age 54 of Waseca passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018 at his home surrounded by family.

Jeff was born on March 2, 1963 in Long Prairie, Minnesota. He was the son of Gerald and Carol (Pommerening) Kingston.  He graduated from Waseca High School in 1981 then attended Albert Lea Vo-Tech’s electrical program and worked at Brown Printing as a dedicated Master electrician for over 34 years. Jeff married the love of his life, Susan Lynch, on June 15, 1985 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Jeff was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved being outdoors. He enjoyed time spent at the family cabin and camping trips with family and friends. He was a “jack-of-all-trades” and loved putzing around in his shop.  There wasn’t a thing he couldn’t fix or make, nor was there a person he wouldn’t help.    Jeff’s greatest attributes were being the best husband, dad and grandpa. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic church and his faith was very important to him as were his family, extended family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Susan of Waseca; two children, Brittany (Ryan) Vosters of Minneapolis and Brandon Kingston (special friend Jess Trautman) of Waseca; and one grandchild, Albie Vosters.  He is also survived by two sisters, Sharon (Curt) Kingston of Bellingham, WA and Brenda (Mike) Larson of Waseca; brother-in-law, Mike Lynch and sisters-in-law, Linda (Glenn) Nerback, Debra (Jeff) Brasch, Janine (Jim) Hesch,  Mary Jo (Dean) Fanning and Anne Kent (special friend Kurt Schneider) and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Kathleen; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Maxine Lynch and stepmother-in-law, Peggy Lynch.

Visitation will be held at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 4-7 PM and continue on Friday, one hour before services at the church.
