BESSIE KURZBEIN, age 85 of Waseca died on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at Sterling House in Owatonna. Born on October 30, 1927 in Ayrshire, Iowa, she was the daughter of Paul and Helen (Roberts) Larson. Bessie moved to Minnesota in 1964 where she was employed for many years by the E.F. Johnson Co. She was united in marriage to Robert Kurzbein on May 10, 1968 in Waseca. Her hobbies were reading, crafts, and spending time with her family. She is survived by one daughter, Susan (Dane) Murphy of Red Wing; one granddaughter, Amanda (Christopher) Weaver of Owatonna; and two great grandchildren, Kyleigh and Colton Weaver. She is also survived by one sister, Ruthanne Larson of Rochester; two brothers, Paul (Susan) Larson of Florida and Clair Larson of Sioux City, IA; one sister-in-law, Beverly Larson of California; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother. Private graveside services will be held at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca with Rev. Roger Haug and Rev. Paige Whitney officiating. |
