IDA A. LARSON, age 95 of Waseca died on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Waseca after a short illness. Born on the family farm in Woodville Township, Waseca County, Minnesota on May 31, 1918, she was the daughter of John and Alvena (Forberg) Robinson. Ida married Lauritz “Senie” Larson on December 7, 1939 in Northwood, Iowa. They lived on the Snake Trail by Watkins Lake for 54 years. Ida was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca. She loved family and friends and was always ready to cook for them. She also enjoyed gardening and going to bingo with her husband Senie until his death in 1994. For the past three years, Ida has enjoyed living at Colony Court in Waseca. She is survived by one son, Robert “Bob” and Janette Larson of Waseca and one daughter, Gloria Larson of Minneapolis. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Staci Larson, Todd Larson and Angie Mueller; and two great granddaughters, Savanna and Sydnney Mueller. She was preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings. Visitation will be held at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca on Wednesday, October 23, 2013from 4-7 PM and continue on Thursday, one hour before services at the church. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca with Rev. Paige Whitney officiating. Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca. |
