Marie Frances Larson

MARIE FRANCES LARSON, age 72 of Waseca, formerly of Elysian, died on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at the New Richland Care Center.

Born on January 6, 1943 in Faribault, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Everett and Ethel (Thielbar) Nusbaum.  She graduated from Waterville High School and married Jan L. Larson on October 1, 1966 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Elysian.  Marie spent much of her life caring for others.  She enjoyed shopping, listening to books on tape, spending time with her grandchildren, pets, puzzles and cooking and baking.

She is survived by her husband, Jan of Waseca; her children, Trever (Kandi) Larson of Waterville and children, Tytan and Braelle Larson, Julee (Troy) Olien of Waseca and children, Logan and Hanna Olien, Shaun Larson (special friend, Sue Cook) of LeMars, IA and children, Liberty Larson and Taylor, Mason and Tanner Cook, Troy Larson of Waseca and daughter, Tiana Larson, Brent Larson of Elysian and daughter, Taylar Larson, Tara (Tyler) Hansen of New Richland and children, Dillon and Deven Parpart and Drake Hansen, Renee (Brian) Graupmann of Belle Plaine and children, Lily and Piper Graupmann and Ariel Graupmann, and Luke (Casey) Larson of Waterville and children, Landon and Harper Larson.  She is also survived by two brothers, Ralph Nusbaum of Elysian and Dale Nusbaum of Mounds View; two sisters-in-law, Pat Nusbaum of Elysian and Marty Nusbaum of Hemet, CA; and several nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Bernard Nusbaum, John Nusbaum, and Jerome Nusbaum; and four nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 2:00 PM at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Elysian.  Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Waterville.  Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the time of services at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
