Cory T. Martin

CORY TRENT MARTIN, age 27 of Waseca, died unexpectedly on Monday, January 21, 2019 in rural Sibley County.

Born in Coon Rapids on August 3, 1991, Cory was the son of Timothy James Martin and Jennifer Lynn Langton.  Growing up he went to school in Annandale.  On June 3, 2018 Cory married Charlissa Rae Robbins in Steele County.  Cory worked on several construction crews throughout his life.  Described by his family as a “truthseeker” Cory was a free-spirited man who was always searching for enlightenment throughout his life.  He loved spending time with his family and he could often be found reading, foraging for herbs and natural medicines while on his nature walks, running with his dog, Goat, and playing hacky-sack.  He was a devoted husband, father, son, and uncle and will be greatly missed by all those he touched.

Cory is survived by his wife, Charlissa of Waseca; his parents, Timothy Martin and Jennifer (Jared Aas) Langton; three children, Daymon Martin, Kayda Martin, and Aiden Driver; three step-children Joey Cruz, Jennifer Cruz, and Marco Cruz; his maternal grandparents, Barry and Sheila Langton of St. Michael; siblings, Kyle (Alyssa) Martin of Pierz, Cameron Martin of Owatonna, Kayley Martin of Owatonna, Chance Martin of St. Cloud, Chase Martin of St. Cloud, and Collin Martin of St. Cloud; his siblings-in-law, Derek (Ashley) Robbins of Waseca, John Robbins of Waseca, Sarah Robbins of Waseca, Joel (Jackie) Wolfe of Waseca, and Justin (Taylor) Wolfe of Waseca; his parents-in-law, Brian and Pam Wolfe of Waseca and Kent and Wendi Robbins of Waseca; many aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; friends; and his beloved dog, Goat.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; an uncle, Tracy Martin; and his dog, Boone.

A visitation will be held from 4-7PM on Monday, January 28, 2019 at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca.  A private celebration of life will be held at a later time.
