Eileen C. Miller

EILEEN CLARA MILLER, age 90 of Waseca, died peacefully on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Waseca.

Born on May 23, 1925 in Mankato, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Robert and Kathryn (Mullerleile) Scheurer.  She grew up in the rural Mankato area and graduated from Cleveland High School in 1943.  On April 10, 1945 she married Louie J. Miller at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Waterville.  She farmed with her husband until they moved to Waseca in 1998.  She was also employed at E.F. Johnson Company in Waseca until her retirement in 1987.  

She is survived by four children, Norman (Rita) Miller of Brooklyn Park, Harvey (Ida) Miller of Owatonna, Emmett (Darlene) Miller of Janesville, and Marianne (Thomas) Miller of Waterville; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers-Gregory and Delano, great grandsons-Noah and Gavin Miller.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca, with a 6:30 PM parish prayer service, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. 

The funeral mass will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Waseca with Fr. Gregory Leif officiating.  Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waterville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Waseca or donor’s choice.
