Marion L. Miller

MARION L. MILLER, age 95 of Waseca died on Sunday, May 6, 2018 at the New Richland Care Center.

Born on July 20, 1922 in Searles, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Michael and Dora (Backer) Werner.  She attended country school near New Ulm before attending high school.  She married Bennie Miller on August 27, 1940 at the Little Brown Church in Northwood, Iowa.  Together they lived and farmed in Waseca County.   Marion also worked at Mahler’s Hardware Store in Waseca for many years.   She loved crafting, gardening, and helping others.  She was a former member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church in Waseca.

She is survived by one sister-in-law, Phyllis Werner of Waseca and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 3 sisters, Martha, Augusta and Helen; and two brothers, Gilbert and Reuben.
