Lawrence "Bob" Muedeking LAWRENCE “BOB” MUEDEKING, age 91 of Waseca died on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at his home in Waseca. Born on September 17, 1925 in Meriden Township, Steele County, Minnesota, he was the son of Herman and Louise (Wobbrock) Muedeking. He graduated from Waseca High School in 1943 and served in the U.S. Air Force until his honorable discharge in 1945. Bob married Frances Wood on September 22, 1946 at the bride’s family farm in Waseca County and recently celebrated their 70th anniversary. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Waseca for 30 years and also drove semi for Great Plains Gas of Owatonna. He was a member of the First Congregational Church in Waseca. He is survived by his wife, Frances of Waseca; one son, Craig (Susan) Muedeking of Grants Pass, OR; one grandson, Jason (Vanessa) Jacobi; and one great-grandson, Gavin Jacobi. He is also survived by two brothers-in-law, Emery Weber of Waseca and Glen Neumann of Coon Rapids, IA; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and two brothers. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Congregational Church in Waseca. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 12:00 PM until the time of services at the church. Burial will be at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca. |
