Allan Jay Pascua

ALLAN JAY PASCUA, age 43 of Waterville died on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at his home.

Born on May 12, 1972 in Gardena, California, he was the son of Helson and Crisanta (Tabalba) Pascua.  Allan moved with his family to Minnesota in the late 1970’s.  He was raised on the east side of St. Paul and graduated from Harding High School in 1990.  He obtained an economics degree at the University of Minnesota-Duluth and returned to California for a brief time.  Upon his return to Minnesota, Allan met and married his wife, Mary Westphal on September 9, 2000 in Eden Prairie.  He recently returned to school and completed an associate’s degree in accounting at South Central College in Mankato and received a bachelor’s degree from Concordia University.  Allan had a lifelong love of music.  He learned violin and piano at an early age and then taught himself guitar among other instruments.  One of his greatest joys was playing for the church worship team.  Allan was a member of Real Life Covenant Church in Waseca.

He is survived by his wife, Mary of Waterville; his mother, Crisanta Pascua of St. Paul; his father, Helson Pascua of Hastings; two brothers, Charles Pascua of Woodbury and Sean (Mary Ann) Pascua of White Bear Lake; and several nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jerome and Shirley Westphal of Madison Lake.   He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Amando and Pastora Tabalba and paternal grandparents, Victorino and Josefina Pascua.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca with Pastor Michael Behm officiating.  Visitation will be held on Thursday from 12:00 PM until the time of services at the funeral home.
