Judith P. Pelant

JUDITH P. PELANT, age 69 of Waterville, died on Friday, April 17, 2015 at Central Health Care in Le Center.

Born in Le Sueur County on August 24, 1945, Judy was the daughter of Edward and Anna (Velishek) Wesley.  She attended school in Waterville, graduating in 1963.  Two years later on October 2, 1965, Judy was united in marriage to John Pelant in Medford.  Over the years, Judy worked for the E.F. Johnson Company in Waseca, Waseca Mutual Insurance, and at the Waterville Café.  Most recently, she and John managed the Parkside Apartments where they lived in Waterville.  When she was a bit younger, Judy enjoyed bowling and playing cards, and more recently liked to spend time tending flowers, following Minnesota sports, reading, and spending time with her beloved friends and family.  She was also a long-time member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Waterville where she was a member of the women’s guild.

Judy is survived by her husband of 49 years, John of Waterville; three children, Jim (Sally) Pelant of Waterville, Jason (Trista) Pelant of Waterville, and Josh Pelant and his fiancée Amy Trast of Bloomington; five grandchildren, Carissa, Miranda, Jordan, Rylee, and Ashlyn Pelant; one sister, Mary Ann Kotval of Clarissa; and one sister-in-law, Mary Ann Wesley of St. Paul.  She was preceded in death by both of her parents; three brothers, Gerald, Donald, and Robert Wesley; and one brother-in-law, Glenn Kotval.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30AM on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Waterville, with Rev. Michael Ince officiating.  Visitation will be held for one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday.  Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Waterville.
