Ruth Rosalind "Rosie" Peterson

Ruth Rosalind “Rosie” Peterson, age 96, of Waseca, died Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Colony Court Memory Care in Waseca.

Born in Waseca on February 13, 1919, Rosie was the daughter of Robert and Florence (Fowler) Sandretsky.  She graduated from Waseca High School in 1936.  Rosie married Wallace Peterson on October 4, 1938 at the Waseca Methodist Church and worked as a homemaker.  Her interests included music, reading and sports.  Rosie was a very active, long-time, member of Faith United Methodist Church in Waseca and Rebekah Lodge #160.  She was deeply loved by and appreciated the excellent care of all the staff at Colony Court Memory Care.

Rosie is survived by three sons, David (Ruth) Peterson of Anoka, Stanley (Mary) Peterson of Bullhead City, AZ, and Dean (Barbara) Peterson of Indianapolis, IN; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, and two nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grandson-David, and one sister-Annette Brown.
