Ron Purcell

RONALD GEORGE WILLIAM PURCELL SR., age 82 of Waseca died on Saturday, June 10, 2017 in Mankato, MN of pulmonary complications.

Ron was an unassuming and caring man with wide ranging interests and a long list of talents developed over a lifetime and forged by his experiences, including service to his country; 20 yrs. in the United State Air Force, service to community; over 20 years as a school board member and city council member in Derby Kansas and 10 years on the Waseca City Council, and independent business ownership.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of over 62 years, Patricia Jane (nee Randall), his three children, Ronald Jr. (Janice), Donald (Kathy), Laura (Sherry), nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Ramona (William) Ripka, Rosalie Smith, and Robert (Bernadine) Mackey.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
