GREGORY JON RIES, age 49 of Waseca, died on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at the St. Lucas Care Center in Faribault. Born in Webster, South Dakota on February 18, 1964, Greg was the son of Harold and Vera (Herr) Ries. Growing up, he attended school in Bristol, South Dakota, graduating in 1982. Over the years, Greg worked as a mechanic and farmer. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Greg is survived by one daughter, Ashlie Nilson of Aberdeen, SD; two sons, Coda Ries of Blue Earth, and Jared Ries of St. Peter; one granddaughter, Shaylynn; and three sisters, Laurie (Dennis) Woitas of Waterville, Kathy Mader of Redwood Falls, and Tarri Theis of Shakopee. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his parents; and three brothers, James, Richard, & Timothy Ries. Graveside services will be held in Bristol, South Dakota on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at 2:00 PM. |
