Daryl R. Rocek

DARYL RICHARD ROCEK, age 70 of Waseca, died on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at the Janesville Nursing Home.

Born in Waseca on August 19, 1946, he was the son of Leslie Emil and Vivian Grace (Randall) Rocek.  As a young man he attended school in Waseca.  He made much of his career as a driver for Coach America Transportation Services, where he assisted the railroad in moving personnel and equipment along the rail lines.  He was a past member of St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca.

Daryl is survived by one brother, Wayne (Barbara) Rocek of New Brighton; one sister, Joann (Dennis) Carlson of Savage; three nieces, Karen Zdon of Coon Rapids, Nicole (Pat) Reinarts of Blaine, and Genna Rocek of New Brighton; and one nephew, Benjamin (Jennifer) Carlson of Shoreview.  He was preceded in death by both of his parents; and one brother, Keith Rocek.

Private family services will be held at a later date.  Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca is handling the arrangements.
