Carl M. Rodahl

CARL MICHAEL RODAHL, age 72 of Waseca, died on Friday, April 29 at Hillcrest Healthcare Center in Mankato.

Born on January 1, 1944 in Albert Lea, Carl was the son of Carl and Gladys (Rasmusson) Rodahl.  He graduated from high school in Wells before entering the United States Air Force.  Following his training in Biloxi, Mississippi, Carl was stationed in Germany.  It was during that time that he met and married his wife, Ute Frenkel in Bremen, Germany.  Following their return to the United States, Carl worked at the E.F. Johnson Company in Waseca until his retirement in 2003.  He enjoyed traveling and woodworking, he was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca, and he greatly loved his involvement with the Waseca American Legion Post #228.

Carl is survived by his wife, Ute of Waseca; two children, Nancy Rodahl of New Richland and Dennis Rodahl of Rochester; two granddaughters, Meghan Whitaker of Mankato and Kristina Rodahl of Wisconsin; one great-granddaughter, Qaaliti of Mankato; one sister, Carolee (Ellis) Fletcher of Wells; one niece, Kim (Kevin) Kastens of Wells; and one nephew, Mike (Kari) Fletcher of Mankato.  He was preceded in death by both of his parents.

A private family service will be held at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca, and interment will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
