Jeanette Rosenthal

JEANETTE EVELYN ROSENTHAL, age 93 of Waseca died on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Lake Shore Inn in Waseca surrounded by her family.

Born on November 28, 1925, in Steele County, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Erwin and Amanda (Naske) Wicklow.   Jeanette graduated from Waseca Central High School in 1944.  She married Lavern Rosenthal on November 5, 1948, at St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca.  Jeanette was employed with Farmers National Bank and Minnegasco.  She also bought and managed numerous rental properties.  Jeanette enjoyed painting, playing cards, cheering for the Vikings and Twins, traveling, and spending time with her family.  She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca and the American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries.

She is survived by her children, Kay Sanders of Medford, Connie (Dennis) Berg of Penn Valley, CA, Larry (Carlene) Rosenthal of Waseca, Thomas Rosenthal of Waseca and Danny (Lori) Rosenthal of Mounds View; 13 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 7 step-great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter-in-law, Vicky Rosenthal; and special friend, Oscar Storlie.

Visitation will be held at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 from 4-7 PM and continue on Wednesday, one hour before services at the church.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca.   Burial will be at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca at a later date.

Memorials are preferred to the Waseca County Historical Society.  In lieu of memorials, please do something nice for someone in Jeanette’s name.
