Douglas J. Ross

DOUGLAS JAY ROSS, age 42 formerly of Waseca, died on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Washington Hospital in Fremont, California.

Born on August 14, 1974, he was the son of James and Sandra (Matz) Ross.  He attended school in Waseca and later earned his GED.  Doug always wanted to work carpentry and worked with various contractors in many different aspects of home construction.  He loved cats, the MN Vikings and Twins, cooking, classic movies, martial arts, karaoke, and Johnny Cash.  He also enjoyed video games, spending time outdoors and jamming on his guitar.  Doug especially loved spending time with his family, nieces and nephews.  

He is survived by his parents; Sandy Ross and Jim Ross; siblings, Charles (Irma) Ross, Thomas (Jennifer) Ross, and Audra (Brandon) Ryan all of Waseca; 12 nieces and nephews, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.   He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, with Rev. David Baumgarn officiating.  Visitation will be held for one hour before the service at the church on Thursday.  Interment will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
