Kathleen Shaffer

Kathleen Therese Shaffer, was received into heaven September 13, 2013. She was 68 years old. Kathleen was preceded by her parents, her devoted partner, George ‘Butch’ Montgomery, brother-in-laws, John Rolling and Tom Keffeler, her best friend and neighbor Jan Gaub and her devoted little dog, Mickey. She is survived by her daughter, Terri Shaffer, five grandchildren, Mariah, Michelle (Tim), Michael, Miranda, Marianah and great granddaughter, Crystal.  Her sisters, Margaret Keffeler and Marianne Rolling, brothers, Michael (Rose) Miller, Clement (Carole) Miller, her dogs Bart, Charlie and recently deceased, Gadget.

Kathleen was born in Fairmont, MN, on October 10, 1944, to Patrick and Amelia (Wirth) Miller. She grew up in Fairmont, graduating from Fairmont High School.  She later received her degree from Mankato State College. She spent her career as a Media Care Specialist in Prior Lake Schools. Kathleen was a woman of many skills and interests. Above all, Kathleen was a dedicated, mother, grandmother and friend who was able to combine her strong will with tremendous love, caring and humor. While she will be deeply missed here, we are grateful in the knowledge that she is now indeed receiving the care she has so earned.

Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 pm Friday, September 27, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 111 4th St. NW, Waseca, with visitation one hour prior to service.
