Charlotte Teigland

CHARLOTTE TEIGLAND, resident of New Richland Care Center, entered into Eternal Rest on August 4, 2015.

Born June 30, 1925 in Richfield, Minnesota, Charlotte Karine Olson was the sixth child of Carl and Delia Olson.  Fred and Martha Krugel of Mapleton, brought Charlotte into their loving home in December 1931, and the adoption was finalized September, 1938.  Despite Great Depression struggles, the Krugels, realizing Charlotte's gift for music, provided her with a piano, accordion, and guitar at which Charlotte became proficient.  On December 12, 1947, Charlotte married Loren “Bud” Teigland.  They made their home on the Teigland farm in rural Delavan, then in rural Mapleton, and finally near Waldorf.  They reared five children: Forrest Lee, Linda Carol, Larry Andrew, Marilyn Jean, and Steven Dale.

Charlotte is survived by 4 children and their families, 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, a brother and sister-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and birth siblings, one son, Forrest, a daughter-in-law, and one granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca.  Visitation will be held for one hour before the service.
