Lowell E. Tetzloff

LOWELL E. TETZLOFF, age 87 of Waseca, died on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Lakeshore Inn in Waseca.

Born in Waseca County on July 31, 1928, Lowell was the son of Alfred and Melinda (Sandretsky) Tetzloff.  He attended country school before beginning to work on his father’s farm.  On December 4, 1946 Lowell married Donna Schubbe at the Mapleton parsonage home.  Over the years Lowell farmed and worked as a truck driver, and later made a career as a mechanic up until his retirement.  During his retirement Lowell enjoyed working at Hy-Vee in Waseca.  He enjoyed singing and dancing and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and a former member of the Waseca Eagle’s Club.  Lowell had been actively involved with Alcoholics Anonymous for many years and was very proud of his 40-plus years of sobriety.

Lowell is survived by four children, Timothy (Helen) Tetzloff of Chandler, AZ, Sandra (Daryld) Wright of Waseca, Linda (Roger) Zabel of Waseca, and Thomas Tetzloff of Waseca; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Delores Denn of Mapleton; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by both of his parents; his wife Donna; and one son, Kenneth Tetzloff.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, March 25, 2016 at St. John Lutheran Church in Waseca, with Rev. John Omans officiating.  Visitation will be held from 11:00AM until the time of the service at the church.  Interment will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
