Glenn Vogler

GLENN R. VOGLER, age 65 of Elysian was called by God to his eternal rest on May 19, 2013 at District One Hospital in Faribault.

Born on July 13, 1947 in Waseca, Minnesota, he was the son of Kenneth and Ruth (Mueller) Vogler.  He graduated from Waseca High School in 1965 and then graduated from Mankato Vo Tech.  Glenn was employed at Neidt’s Standard Oil Station in Waseca before he began working at Brown Printing Co., Waseca Ink Division where he was employed for 29 years.  Glenn married Rita Berndt on June 3, 1972 in Elysian.  He had a wide variety of interests including fishing, hunting, trap shooting, collecting sport cards, model cars, and full size antique cars.  He was very proud of his 1955 Ford Crown Victoria.  He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Elysian and past president of Auto Restorers of Southern Minnesota.

He is survived by his wife of almost 41 years, Rita of Elysian; son, Christopher Vogler and his wife Kristen of Waseca; and granddaughter, Adora Irene.  He was preceded in death by his parents and infant son, David Robert in 1981.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2013 from 4-8 PM at Kinder-Dennis Home for Funerals in Waseca and continue on Friday, one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Elysian with Rev. Russ Grabau officiating.
