Steven C. Weckwerth

STEVEN CHARLES WECKWERTH, age 63 of Waseca died on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.

Born on July 22, 1952 in Waseca, Minnesota, he was the son of Elmer and Louise (Matthies) Weckwerth.  He graduated from Waseca High School in 1971.  Steve worked at Herter’s and later Birds Eye until his retirement.   He enjoyed bowling, baseball, movies, music, and current events.  Steve was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Waseca.

He is survived by siblings, Annette Thomez of Waseca, Stanley (Nancy) Weckwerth of Faribault, John Weckwerth of Arizona and Barbara (LaVerne) Blowers of Waseca; sister-in-law, Karen Weckwerth of Waseca; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, David Weckwerth.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca.  Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca. Visitation will be held on Saturday, one hour before services at the funeral home.
