Monica F. Wetmore

MONICA F. WETMORE, age 89 of Waseca, died on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at the Janesville Nursing Home.

Born in Berlin, Germany on August 6, 1929, Monica was the daughter of Walter and Gretel (Reichel) Floreck.  She attended school in Germany as a young woman.  During World War II Monica met Shelley Bickford Wetmore – the man who would later become her husband.  She immigrated to the United States in 1947 and they were married in February 1948 in Haddon Heights, New Jersey.  Over the years Monica worked at several banks in southern New Jersey, but most of her career was spent with PNC Bank.  She was an avid supporter of her children’s drum and bugle corps activities and she also enjoyed volunteering with the Republican party, especially at the polls and during voting.  Monica was a long time member of the Catholic church and she loved caring for her grandchildren and their families.

Monica is survived by four children, Shelley (Linda) Wetmore of Voorhees, NJ, Geoffrey (Ellen) Wetmore of Mt. Ephraim, NJ, Laurie (Tom) Moran of Downingtown, PA, and Wendi (Kent) Robbins of Waseca; ten grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother; and one daughter in infancy.

Following cremation Monica will be interred at Harliegh Cemetery in Camden, New Jersey.
