Marlys Winter

MARLYS KAY WINTER, age 68 of Waseca died on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at her home.

Born on August 31, 1945 in Blue Earth, Minnesota she was the daughter of Arvil and Evelyn (Hiller) Winter.  Marlys graduated from Blue Earth High School.  She was employed with Telex in Blue Earth before moving to Waseca in 1975.  Since moving to Waseca she had been employed with Waseca Mutual Insurance, E.F. Johnson Co. and Itron.  Marlys was currently working at Taco John’s in Waseca.  She enjoyed horseback riding.

She is survived by one son, Tim Winter (friend, Leslee Milbrath) of Waseca and four grandchildren, Sage Winter, Brittany Harding, Derrick Brandvold and Kayla Melchert.  She is also survived by one brother, Dave Winter of Blue Earth and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Sharon McCarthy.

Visitation will be held at Dennis Funeral & Cremation Services in Waseca on Sunday, October 20, 2013 from 4-7 PM and continue on Monday, one hour before services at the church.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 21, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Grace Lutheran Church in Waseca.  Burial will follow at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca.
